A nasty wind and cold rain rolled into Seward this morning and put a kibosh to our planned hike to Exit Glacier. I got the itch to move on.
I drove mostly in rain for four hours and we arrived at the Homer spit around 11:00pm. At midnight you can still clearly see the snow covered mountains across Kachemak Bay.
Independence.
Freedom.
Liberty.
Peace.
I am thankful for the many who have sacrificed and served our great country in so many ways.
