Where Canyon Creek meets the East Fork of Six mile Creek, near Hope, AK, the forest is thick right up to the rapids as they wind through the cleavage of the snow covered mountains. The area is beautiful and still very wild, with only the highway to give a hint that I'm not the first white man to pass this way.
We stopped for the night.
Today we went back through the tunnel to Whittier and have boarded the ferry bound for Valdez.
