The road to Alaska is closed! And there is no way around.....except a very long gravel road and a section of it is closed too!
The scuttlebutt is that the RV parks are full between here (Dawson Creek) and Watson Lake. Tomorrow after church we'll dump tanks, fill the propane and water and head up there and see for ourselves.

ReplyDeleteDad and Mark got caught up on the finally Alaska blog today. Amazing scenery and experience. Loved the shot of Ken's shop.
ReplyDeleteThough only 45 minutes, Ken's shop was up there with Rushmore and Yellowstone as far as amazing things to see. The layers and layers of grime and oil and tools and discarded parts was a amazing in contrast to Ken's bright demeanor lighting up the whole dungeon. It took me back to the electric motor shop in Jeff City where there was barely a path through the worn motors from the front door to the counter.
